Qualifications and Requirements:
Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or suitable candidates with relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance).
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or CMA qualification (alternative considered on final stages).
Years of progressive experience in accounting and finance roles.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and financial regulations.
Proven experience in treasury management, including cash forecasting.
Background from an accounting company is strongly preferred but not a must.
Experience in HR, procurement, or related areas is highly advantageous.
Strong knowledge of ERP systems and experience with implementation.
Proficiency in both Kiswahili and English, both written and spoken.
Proven experience in refining financial processes and establishing procedures.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Role and Responsibilities:
Oversee with the CFO the accounting and finance functions of the company, includingtreasury management, the day-to-day operations and month/year-end close processes.
Play a pivotal role in establishing financial processes and procedures from the ground up.
Support financial audit activities and the annual corporate financial controls audit
Utilize your expertise to set up and integrate ERP systems effectively.
Manage and reconcile financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Prepare financial reports, forecasts, statutory financial statements and budgets to aid decision-making.
Oversee cash flow analysis, liquidity management, and risk assessment.
Ensure timely and accurate tax compliance and reporting.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline financial operations.
Provide mentorship and guidance to junior accounting staff.
Monitor financial performance, analyze trends, and make strategic recommendations.
Communicate effectively in both Kiswahili and English to ensure smooth cross-functional interactions.
Assist with HR-related matters, including personnel management, compliance, and policies.
Contribute to procurement processes, vendor relationships, and supply chain optimization.
