Description

Qualifications University Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. MBA or equivalent is preferred. Job Knowledge & Experience 15+ years of experience in business development, Export Sales, or a related role in the packaging or FMCG industry. Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth. Strong understanding of the packaging industry and market dynamics in Eastern, Central & Southern Africa. Minimum Skills & Competencies Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with both internal and external stakeholders. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure. Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies. Ability to analyze market data and translate findings into actionable business strategies. Personal Attributes Proactive and self-motivated. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong ethical standards and professionalism. Commitment to continuous learning and improvement. ResponsibilitiesNew Market EntryIdentify and pursue New Export markets and customer segments.Demand GenerationGenerate demand for Silafrica’s products in target Export markets.Opportunity PipelineBuild a pipeline of opportunities and work with Senior Management & Board to unblock and create new opportunities.Relations ManagementDevelop and maintain relationships with key clients, industry partners, and stakeholders.Market Research ReportsConduct market research to identify new business opportunities and market trends.Account StrategyDevelop 3-year Strategic Plan and an Annual Sales Plan for growing revenue, share, and profitability in all product categories per OpCo.Contract NegotiationLead negotiation of contracts for products leveraging internal Silafrica resources (legal, finance, etc.).Review ReportsMonitor and evaluate business development initiatives and strategies for effectiveness and efficiency
