Qualification
University degree in Social Sciences. A Post-graduate qualification is an added advantage.A minimum of 10 years of professional experience in the linear construction and extractives industry including at least 5 years’ experience of human rights and human rights security-related compliance in the development field, and community capacity building for PIIM.
Knowledge of international environmental and social standards particularly the IFC Performance Standards.
Experience of regular interfaces with and undertaking field oversight in implementing Project Induced In Migration project commitments.
Excellent communication skills proven to develop and maintain good relations with stakeholders including local institutions, local communities, industry partners, CSOs/NGOs and international organisations.
Negotiation and conflict management skills.
Excellent computer; report writing and analytical skills.

EACOP is looking to recruit a PIIM Coordinator in Tanzania.
As PIIM Coordinator, you will be responsible for:
Implement the PIIM strategy and the action plan in Tanzania
Collaborate with the Social Project team and Land and Social Team to ensure coordination for mitigation actions implementation by contractors
Participate in all communication actions to ensure alignment between all messages at all levels (local/regional/national)
Organise the District Authorities meetings on a quarterly basis
Report regularly on the progress made on PIIM plans to EACOP Management/ Shareholders and Lenders
Promote awareness and understanding of Project development including PIIM action plans
Coordinate actively actions with government authorities, private sector and Civil Society Organisations especially in the PIIM hotspot locations (Tanga, Nzega, Bukombe)
Communicate PIIM results internally and externally
ActivitiesIn relation to respect for PIIM. you will:
Be the focal point for the monitoring of the PIIM recommendations implementation by all the operational entities (Project team/
Security team/ HSE team/ LSOC team/ Human Resources team…).
Ensure that PIIM recommendations implementation is harmonized between Tanzania and Uganda.
Ensure that adequate systems, tools and processes in place to appropriately monitor the implementation of PIIM mitigation measures activities across the Project in Tanzania.
Issue the monthly report reg. EACOP PIIM progress for Uganda & Tanzania.
