Qualifications
University degree in Social Sciences. A Post-graduate qualification is an added advantage.
A minimum of 10 years professional experience in linear construction and extractives industry including at least 5 years’ experience of human rights and human rights security related compliance in the development field, and community capacity building for PIIM.
Knowledge of international environmental and social standards particularly the IFC Performance Standards.
Experience of regular interfaces with and undertaking of field oversight in implementation of Project Induced In Migration project commitments.
Excellent communication skills with a proven ability to develop and maintain good relations with stakeholders including local institutions, local communities, industry partners, CSOs/NGOs and international organizations.
Negotiation and conflict management skills.
Excellent computer; report writing and analytical skills.
Roles and ResponsibilitiesAs PIIM Coordinator, you will be responsible for:
Implement the PIIM strategy and the action plan in Tanzania.
Collaborate with the social project team and land and social team to ensure coordination for mitigation actions implementation by contractors.
Participate in all communication actions to ensure alignment between all messages at all levels (local/regional/national).
Organise the district authorities meetings on a quarterly basis.
Report regularly on the progress made on PIIM plans to the management/ shareholders and lenders.
Promote awareness and understanding of project development including PIIM action plans.
Coordinate actively actions with government authorities, private sector and civil society organisations especially in the PIIM hotspot locations (Tanga, Nzega, Bukombe).
Communicate PIIM results internally and externally.
