Description

Responsibilities  Evaluate material properties and characteristics to ensure they meet project specifications and design requirements. Prepare specifications and quality control procedures for material procurement and installation. Participate in project planning and budgeting related to materials. Inspect incoming materials for compliance with specifications and conduct on-site testing when necessary. Monitor material storage and handling practices to prevent damage or deterioration. Investigate and address any material-related issues or non-conformances identified during construction. Provide technical advice and support to other engineers, contractors, and construction personnel regarding material selection and usage. Analyze field performance data of materials and recommend improvements for future projects. Contribute to project documentation and reports related to material selection and performance. Develop and maintain strong relationships with material suppliers and vendors. Contribute to sustainable construction practices by seeking environmentally friendly materials and optimizing resource usage. Stay updated on emerging materials and construction technologies. Skills and Knowledge: Diploma or bachelor’s degree in construction engineering or any other related field More than 5 years of experience in construction projects. Strong understanding of various construction materials including their properties, strengths, limitations, and applications. Knowledge of relevant building codes and regulations governing material usage. Expertise in material testing methods and equipment. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Analytical and critical thinking skills for evaluating material performance data.
