Education and Experience: Advanced Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field and at least 6 years working experience in similar responsibilities.Competencies/skills
Ability to effectively interpret technical drawings.
Ability to detect, analyse and resolve problems.
Ability to interact with users and provide clear and useful instruction and training; or obtain necessary information to correct production problems on a timely basis.
Ability to identify and monitor potential operational malfunctions.
Ability to follow verbal and/or written instructions.
Main Responsibilities:1. Achieving Business Volumes▪ To achieve the target volumes and the KPIs for the year as per KPIs.▪ Responsible for achieving Quality Scores for the year for the line in coordination with the QC Team for the respective line. ▪ To analyse and implement Corrective Action Plan immediately in case of any issues affecting the quality of the products.2. To plan and implement various plant performance improvement systems and to implement systems to improve the equipment reliability, especially with all electrical systems.▪ To monitor the power consumption daily and to institute various measures to reduce the power consumption, like switching of the lights if not required, switching off the equipment's if not required etc.,▪ To analyse the KVAs at various stages and to identify a process of staggering start-up of equipment's to reduce the KVA and educate the Production team on the same.▪ To improve the Power Factor of the plant and ensure that it is consistently above 0.97 by ensuring the availability of its spares.▪ To coordinate with Preventive Maintenance team to implement various PM measures to ensure the availability of equipment's at all times.▪ To coordinate with Tanesco and to ensure the annual maintenance of transformers are done in time. To ensure the connection of third transformer is done and all the transformers are safely kept above the ground.▪ To monitor the Date Coding machine consumables consumption patter, ensure the availability of the machines at all times.▪ To have a written procedure and schedule to check various interlocks in the plant equipment's and utilities including power / air saving systems like solenoids for date coding machines, crowner and bottle washer final rinse systems.▪ To ensure the upkeep of the equipment's like motors by frequent cleaning of motors, up keeping all panels and drives etc.▪ Upkeep all electrical systems within the factory premises by proper maintenance at all times.3. Good Manufacturing Practices Training▪ To identify electricians / operators who need training and complete 200-man hours of training on their respective functions including variable speed drives and date coding machines.▪ To be a team member to initiate all requirements for implementation of HACCP for the plant.▪ Adhere to the Standard Procedures for Maintenance for smooth operations at the shop floor.▪ To be a member and implement the requirements for the AIBI. ▪ Ensure the workshop is clean at all times.
