Qualification
A Degree in agriculture, agricultural economics, agronomy, agribusiness, social sciences, social development, environmental sciences or a related discipline, required
10 years of professional experience working on community development, agricultural development or rural development within rural communities in Tanzania required
Professional experience of investor international financing standards requirements for livelihood restoration preferred
Professional experience working with private sector/industry on delivery of social investment or livelihood restoration programmes required by investors prefered.
Excellent communication skills with a proven ability to develop and maintain good relations with stakeholders including, local communities and local government authorities
Proven ability to multitask and work independently
Willingness to be based and work in the field is a prerequisite
Excellent and proven data management skills and attention to detail required.
Excellent computer and analytical skills required.
Fluency in English (written and spoken) and Swahili essential
Activities.
The Livelihood Restoration Coordinator will be responsible for:
Developing a detailed understanding of the RAPs and identified livelihoods strategy for physically and economically displaced PAPs for the Priority Areas and Pipeline
Engaging with key stakeholders within geographic areas of responsibility with regional, district and ward level government stakeholders, community representatives and NGO/CSO Coordinating engagements with Community Relations Coordinators (CRCs) with regards to livelihood restoration toensure streamlined stakeholder engagement.
Act as in-field focal person for livelihood restoration activities, providing key messages and recording any questions and concerns from PAH and communities.
Monitor and coordinate Livelihoods contractor implementation of their scope as requested by the Zonal Team Lead.
Provide technical support and advice on the delivery of livelihood restoration activities.
Oversee the effective delivery of LR programmes as per EACOP required standards.
Monitor LRA implementation against agreed KPIs and according to the monitoring system.
Participating in monitoring the distribution of transitional livelihoods on a monthly basis and ensure all PAHs havecollected their packages. Conduct follow up with PAH who have difficulty accessing their packages.
Contribute to the resolution of grievances and disputes related to the delivery of the LRP as requested by the Grievance Administrator.
Supporting PAPs identified as recipients of livelihoods restoration support to participate in these programmes identifying and reporting any reasons for non-participation.
Implementing monitoring activities for all livelihoods restoration tasks and KPIs.
Submitting reports as determined by the Livelihood Restoration reporting system
