QUALIFICATIONS
Advanced Degree in Environmental or Social Sciences, Agriculture, Agricultural Economics, Business Development, or related discipline required.
10-15 years of experience in project or and team management within large organisations with a focus, required.
East Africa experience required.
Proven professional experience in livelihood restoration planning, implementation and monitoring, required.
Experience of investor financed Projects compliant with the International Performance Standards on livelihood restoration, preferred.
Proven experience managing contractors including technical and financial management and monitoring, preferred.
Communication skills with an ability to develop and maintain good relations with stakeholders, required. TOTAL Classification: Restricted Distribution.

Ability to mentor, coach and manage teams, preferred..
Proven ability to multitask, work independently, manage significant workload and competing demands whilst meeting deadlines, required.

ACTIVITIES
Developing a detailed understanding of the RAPs and identified livelihoods strategy for physically and economically displaced Project Affected Households (PAHs) for the Priority Areas, Pipeline, Above-Ground Installations (AGIs) and MST.
Understanding and take ownership of the project management plan to deliver the livelihoods strategies.
Assist in the procurement process of organisations to undertake detailed design and implementation of the Livelihoods Restoration programme and monitoring process.
Support the management of the scope, deliverables, reporting, financial reporting and contractual aspects of specific livelihoods contractors as delegated by the Project Manager.
Supporting coordination of the scope and inputs of EACOP’s Livelihoods Advisors and identifying any scope areas not being addressed
Providing oversight and management of any specific technical area as delegated by the Project Manager.
Supporting the data monitoring process including reviewing implementation progress and identifying lagging areas.
Providing administrative support for team management with regards to ensuring continuous team presence, managing travel, addressing human resource issues.
Providing oversight of the reporting function and supporting the lead reporting role.
Participating in progress and monitoring meetings with livelihood restoration teams and implementation partners.
Supporting weekly and monthly management reporting as required by the Livelihoods Manager
