QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREDAcademic Qualification:Degree : B.Eng. (or equivalent formal qualification) in a recognized Engineering discipline .Professional experience: Minimum 10 years of full life cycle experience in the Industry with similar project types & environment specialized in HVAC engineering in oil and gas projects and with previous experience in design of an onshore plant;
Technical competencies: Detailed understanding and knowledge of HVAC Engineering activities for similar project types.Behavioral competencies: Good interpersonal and communication skills. English as mother tongue or Fluent in English (speaking and writing).ACTIVITIES To supervise and control the HVAC detailed design activities by the Vendors and Contractors, securing interfaces definition with the other disciplines such as process, technical safety, electrical, architectural and with the other work packages of the Project in relation to the HVAC discipline.
To ensure proper reporting, highlighting critical issues to the Engineering Manager and proposing remedial actions.
To contribute to improving the project lessons learnt and personnel skills. To ensure that the design of installations meets the requirements of the Project and the local codes, standards and regulation.
Prepare weekly and monthly report as well as other specific reports on Engineering Manager request. Participate in COMPANY weekly meetings and interface with other discipline to ensure HVAC disciplines particular requirements are well taken into account by other disciplines.
Accountable for the quality and the delivery of the HVAC detailed design documentation to support the procurement and construction activities. To take leadership to the Vendors and Contractors by a thorough review of the key deliverables, including optimizations of his discipline such as philosophies, basis of design and calculation notes.
Participate in FAT/meetings at vendor premises as necessary. To participate to technical meetings, challenging the vendors and contractors, to monitor and promote cost saving solutions in the design. Promote alternatives for HVAC design to optimize works and schedule
To report to the Engineering Manager on the progress of his activity and on changes to the basis for design, in particular as early as possible when anticipated, anticipate problems in his disciplines
