QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED• Degree: BSc (or equivalent formal qualification) in a recognized Engineering discipline in Civil engineering• Minimum of 10 years’ experience with at least 5 years in Oil &Gas Industry with similar large-scale projects with extensive field experience.
• Ability to adapt and to represent the company in discussions, negotiations and meetings with contractors, partners, and regulatory authorities.
• Competency within industry applications such as MS Office; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio• Strong knowledge of civil construction activities for site preparation, cut and fill, compaction, roadworks, drainage, concrete structures, piling, foundations, buildings, and associated disciplines.
• Demonstrate proficiency in the interpretation of engineering drawings, plans and specifications.• Understanding of critical path and key milestones within the construction planning programs for civil works.• A high focus on identifying and meeting the key project deliverables and objectives.• Demonstrated communication skills including the ability to articulate construction concerns and solutionswith teams consisting of individuals with various technical and educational backgrounds.• To provide supervisory support the CONTRACTOR to report on a daily basis on progress and activities.• Assist contractors for the correct interpretation of the drawings, providing support in the solution of technical problems.• Ability to delegate & set tasks• Advanced written and spoken English• Analytical and problem-solving skills• Ability to travel as and when required.• Previous experience working with multicultural contractors' and reporting their performance.• Staff management experience (knowledge of mentoring and motivation techniques)• Autonomous, self-motivated, and flexible with the ability to adapt quickly to change or shifting priorities. ACTIVITIES• Directly supporting EACOP Construction Site lead ensuring delivery of AGI facilities infrastructure on-timeand to budget.• Work as directed by the Construction Site Lead within the allocated construction work packages issued.• Implement, use, and communicate safe work practices on and off the project sites.• Supervision and Inspection of Civil works regularly, identifying and eliminating potential safety hazards.• Ensuring Company Contractors understand work scope pertaining to Civil works.• Support Construction Supervisor throughout the field and during meeting attendance, including monitoringand reporting on compliance of works, scheduling, contractor performance, materials, and vendors.• Conduct regular field inspections of the works in progress to ensure conformance to AFC design drawings.• Accept guidance and on the job training from supervisory and engineering personnel on day-to-day workscope execution.• Ensure specialist requirements for Hydrocarbon related Civil works are adhered to and implemented.• Supervision and checks of field survey pegging for excavations, cut, fill and foundation locations.• Supervision of ITP inspection surveillance and hold points by the designated inspection personnel.• Supervise pre-pour inspection and approve release to pour concrete.• Review and confirm survey benchmark controls for sites & road networks.• Monitor civil interfaces for civil earth work scopes, identifying conflicts to supervision.• Work within a multi-cultural business framework and provide ethical and compliant support.• Mentor exemplary behaviour regarding HSE, Ethics and Company "Code of Conduct" policy.
