QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND REQUIREMENTS
A university degree in mechanical engineering or related field ;
3 to 5 years of experience in automotive, heavy equipment, and truck maintenance or similar roles ;
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and vehicle maintenance software ;
Strong verbal and written communication skills ;
Open to national and international candidates fluent in local languages (Swahili, Lingala) or French ;
Excellent organizational skills ;
Multitasking and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks ;
Ability to work independently ;
Knowledge of general technical standards is an asset.
Ability to utilize diverse databases effectively.
Strong analytical, synthesis, and interpersonal skills.
High moral integrity.
Essential Functions
Ensure each staff member is effectively present at their workstation ;
Support supervision, coordination, and control during various maintenance activities
Participate in the installation, repair, and maintenance of electronic systems (sensors, printed circuits, control systems, etc.) ;
Diagnose electrical malfunctions in vehicles ;
Use diagnostic equipment proficiently ;
Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for electronic equipment ;
Monitor maintenance schedules and ensure adherence ;
Verify proper operation of machines and tools post-repair ;
Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards ;
Design and interpret technical schematics ;
Research and evaluate new equipment for potential use in maintenance ;
Update electronic systems according to technological advancements ;
Perform technical analyses ;
Analyze and prepare spare parts requirements for submission to the Logistics Department ;
Track the consumption and availability of necessary spare parts and equipment ;
Fill in intervention tracking logs ;
Maintain cleanliness in vehicle maintenance areas ;
Enforce internal procedures and technical regulations ;
Manage personnel aspects such as performance evaluations, conflict resolution, and worker grievances, submitting them to the Logistics and HR Departments ;
Record recurring maintenance issues for statistical analysis ;
Collect feedback to improve service quality ;
Communicate regularly with superiors to exchange information and find common solutions to problem.
Oversee the refueling of generator sets and forklifts ;
Email daily vehicle maintenance reports to the Maintenance Manager with copies sent to the Logistics Director ;
Periodically hold information and orientation meetings (instruction application) with staff ;
Ensure proper use, maintenance, and repairs of tools and installations ;
Perform any other duties assigned.
